      Double swaying lotus
前式,退步跨虎的终止状态。

维持中心稳定,轻轻提起右足跟,使重
心落在右足前掌上。使用腿,腰之劲,
以右足前掌与右胯为轴,平稳地将全身
由西南方旋转到西北方。上身由中正略
微转向前倾。松左胯,左大腿由直伸转
为自然弯曲,并下落,处于步骤上式与
步骤02之间。注意,上身的自然前倾,
不能影响重心的稳定。
身子转动时,右臂略微前伸,右手掌基
本面下手指顺前臂方向指向前方。左手
掌保持向上的钩手状,以左肩为中心,
向左侧上提左肘,将左手移至左侧胁
下。注意不要因此耸起左肩。

维持重心稳定,落下右足跟,足掌指向
西北方,恢复上身中正。左腿直伸以左
足跟着地,足尖翘起。全身面向西北,
处于典型的中正状态。
转动左肩、肘,钩手渐渐展开,手腕向
手背方向转动使手掌向下,从胁下移向
胸前,基本与肩同高。右掌同步回收下
移,手指处于左手腕下方。
这也是一个准备前推的过渡的步骤,上
述双臂只是大致的参考位置,具体可根
据各人状况而定。

遵循与通常相同的要领,由中正状态转
为弓步的偏正状态。
左掌在面部高度,右掌在上腹高度,随
重心的前移,略微向正前方胁调地前
推,与前述扑面掌相似。

维持左胯、膝的稳定,以左胯与左足连
线为轴,平稳地后转左胯将上身由向西
北的前倾转为正直地面向东北。左腿基
本保持直伸状态。双足足尖相对。
基本保持右臂原状,在转体的同时,以
右肩为中心,上提右臂,使右上臂接近
右肩的高度指向西方。此时右手掌基本
面向西北。
左臂也基本保持原状态,在转体的同
时,以左肩为中心,下落左臂,使左掌
向西北方与右掌在胸前正中处上下呼
应。

保持左胯与膝的稳定,继续平稳地转动
全身,使上身由东南方转到东方(略偏
东南方)。

松右胯,右腿由直转曲,轻提右足跟,
并以右足尖为中心,使足掌与大腿一起
指向正东方。

双臂原形基本不变,主要只是随身而
动,仅乘转体之势以双肩为中心,在原
高度上同时略微向右转移。

维持中正及重心的稳定,松右胯,以腰
腿之劲循上图黄点轨迹向左侧提腿,然
后摆向右方,右足尖在经过正前方时相
继与左、右手相遇。足尖向上与蹬腿时
同。

主要意识在于足踢手而不要俯身以手去
凑足。手如不能碰到足也没关系。紧要
的是维持全身重心的稳定与舒坦。

左、右双臂以肩为中心,由曲而直使
左、右掌分别先后循上图绿、兰点所示
轨迹在正前方与右足相遇。

继踢腿之势,以脊髓为中心,向左转动
双胯,使上身由东方转向东北方。
右腿循原来黄点轨迹继续沿弧线右摆并
最后直伸地以右足跟在前方着地。

以双臂为中心,双手继续在基本水平的
方向随全身的转动而挥向左侧。左臂自
然直伸,右臂则横跨于上腹前。双手基
本在同一高度上,并处于贴近上身的由
西北到东南的连线之上。

全身重心始终须稳定地处于左腿的胯及
足跟的连线之上。

                              Double swaying lotus  01
Keep the center stable. Raise the right heel slightly up and let the weight center falling on
the front sole of the right foot. Using the internal power from the hip and waist and with the
connecting line between the right hip and the right sole as axis, steadily rotate the whole
body from southwest to northwest.
Turn the torso from upright to slanting forward. Relax the left hip. Bend the left thigh
naturally and sink down in a position in between the above posture and posture of (02).
Pay attention that the natural slanting of the upper body should not affect the stability of the
weight center. While rotate the body, stretch forwards the right arm slightly. The right palm is
basically facing down with fingers pointing forward toward the direction of the forearm.
Keep the left palm in hook form. With the left shoulder as center, raise the left elbow up
toward the left side. Place the left hand under the left side ribs. Pay attention not to shrug
the shoulder.

Keep the weight center stable. Ground with the right heel with the sole pointing to the
northwest side. Turning back to the upright position. Stretch the left leg and ground the left
heel with toe tips pointing upward.
The whole body is facing northwest establishing the typical upright position. Rotate the left
shoulder and elbow. Slowly open the hooked hand. Turn the wrist toward the back of the
palm leading the palm to face down. Move the hand from the rib side to the front of the
chest at the same height as the shoulder. Withdraw and move down the right palm at the
same time. Position the fingers under the left wrist.
This is also a transitional step preparing for the forward pushing. The position of both arms
as mentioned above is a rough reference. The actual position will depend on one’s own
state.

Follow the similar basic requirements in moving from the upright to the slanting state.

The left palm is at the same height as the face while the right palm is at the same height as
the upper abdomen. Following the shift of the weight center forward, push forward slightly
and coordinately similar to the Side-face Palm as previous mentioned.

Keep the left hip and heel stable. With the connecting line between the left hip and left foot
as axis, steadily rotate the left hip backward leading the torso from slanting and facing
northwest to upright and facing northeast.
Keep the left leg in stretching state with the toe tips of both feet facing each other.
Keep the right arm at its original state. While rotating the body, use the right shoulder as
center and raise the right arm upward leading the upper right arm close to the height of
the right shoulder and to point west. At this moment, the right palm is basically facing
northwest.
The left arm is also kept basically at its original state. While rotating the body at the same
time, with the left shoulder as center drop the left arm down leading the left palm to face
northwest and in concert with the right palm right in front of the chest.

Keep the left hip and knee stable. Continue to rotate the body steadily leading the
torso from facing southeast to facing east (slightly toward southeast).

Relax the right hip and bind the right leg. Raise the right heel slightly. With the right
toe tips as center, turn the sole and thigh to point east at the same time.

The form of both arms is basically unchanged. They follow the turn of the body to
move. When making the rotation, with both shoulders as center shift the body from
the original height to the right

Keep the body upright and the weight center stable. Relax the right hip. With the
internal power from the leg and waist, raise the leg from the left side and sway to the
right along the path as shown by the yellow dots in the picture. When the right toe
tips are crossing in front of the chest, they will touch respectively the left and right
hand. The toe tips are pointing upward similar to leg kicking.
Pay attention to the sense of kicking the hand with the leg and not to bow down the
torso for the sake of touching the legs with the hand. It is not essential for the hands
to  reach the leg. Instead it is importance to keep the weight center of the whole
body stable and sustainable.
With both shoulders as center, stretch both arms leading the left and right palms to
move along the path as shown by the yellow dots in the picture and meet with the
right leg in front of the chest.

Following the movement of kicking, with the spine as center rotate both hips to the
left leading the torso from facing east to facing northeast. Along the path of the
yellow dots, continue to sway the right leg to the right till it stretches forward and to
ground with the right heel.

With both arms as center and following the rotation of the body, continue to sway
both hands at the same horizontal direction to the left. Stretch the left arm naturally
and position the right arm across the front of the upper abdomen. Both hands are
basically at the same height and located close to the upper body along the
connecting line between northwest and southeast.
