  Single Swaying  Lotus

This is the
finishing
posture of
Side-Face
Palm.

              Single Swaying  Lotus 01

With the connecting line of the left hip and heel as axis, turn
the left knee and toe tips from southeast to southwest. At the
same time, with the left hip as center, steadily shift the right
hip backward leading the torso from slanting toward southeast to
right up facing southwest. The left leg is basically kept at its
original state.
Keep the right arm relatively at the same position. By following
the rotation of the upper body, the right arm is located under the
lower left rib. The left arm is essentially at its original state
and moves along with the body.
               Single Swaying  Lotus 02

Continue to use the left hip as center and withdraw the right hip.
Keep the upright state and rotate the torso from facing southwest
to facing west.
Slightly raise the right heel and keep the right leg in a
stretching state. With the connecting line between the right hip
and right toe tips as axis, rotate the right heel leading the toe
tips, heel, knee and hip to locate on the same straight line.
Maintain the relative positions of both arms against the body and
move along with the rotation of the body. With the left forearm as
axis, turn the back of the left palm to the west.
               Single Swaying  Lotus 03
Keep the torso upright and the left hip and knee steady. Relax the
right hip. With the power from the waist and the leg, kick the
right leg toward the upper left side in a curving direction. At the
same time with the left shoulder as center, use the back of the
palm to slap the kicking right leg along a curving direction from
the upper right side to the lower left side. The outer side of the
right instep should meet with the outer side of the left hand-back
right in front of the body.
The main consciousness is to kick the hand with the foot and not to
slap the foot with the hand. If the hand cannot reach the foot,
slap on the leg. Try not to bow down the body to slap on the foot
and loss the upright position.
                Single Swaying  Lotus 04
Keep the body upright and the left knee and hip steady. Continue to
sweep   the right leg down along the curving path across to the
right .Let the right leg stretch out and ground with the heel
toward the west side.
With the right shoulder as center, following the kicking movement
brush the right knee with the right arm. With the right palm facing
down, place the right forearm right in front of the waist.
Following the curving direction of slapping, continue to raise the
left arm up toward the upper left side. Rotate the left forearm and
turn the left hand from slapping down with the backside to slanting
forward with the palm.
This is a transitional state. Reference can be made to the
movements of both hands under the procedures of Brushing The Knee.
                Single Swaying  Lotus 05

The finishing posture of Single Branch Of Lotus Swaying In The Wind
is the same as Brushing The Knee and Stepping Up. Therefore, one
can relate the moving procedures of Brushing The Knee from changing
the upright state of 04 to slanting bow-step of 05.

At the final moment, rotate the left toe tips leading both feet
parallel and pointing to the west.
